# Understanding Your Dashboard

#### The three parts of your screen

When you log in, your dashboard is made up of three parts:

* **The top bar** — runs across the top of every page; has your tools and account menu
* **The sidebar** — on the left, used to move between sections
* **The main content area** — the large space on the right where everything loads

<figure><img src="/files/N50EBasqFTtjN3ay5cyf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**My ChangeMaker Space** works a little differently — it opens as a full screen experience on top of the dashboard rather than loading as a normal page. Use the **Back to Dashboard** button to return when you're done.

#### The top bar

The top bar stays visible no matter which page you're on.

**On the left:**

* The **RealLives logo**

**On the right:**

| What you'll see | What it does |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Experience Hub** | Opens a launcher for My ChangeMaker Space, RealBoard, and more |
| **Language** | Change your dashboard language |
| **Notifications** | Updates about your assignments and activity; a blue dot appears when you have unread ones |
| **Profile avatar** | Your name, role, theme toggle, account settings, and logout |

You won't see a life credits counter or any license controls — your department manages all of that.

#### The sidebar

| **Home** | Your welcome screen and summary cards |
| **My Assignments** | Where you find and play your assignments |
| **My Journey** | Your lives, countries, reflections, and progress over time |

**Settings**

| Item | What it's for |

#### My ChangeMaker Space

This opens as a full screen experience from the **Experience Hub** or the **Explore ChangeMaker Space** button on Home. It is not a regular sidebar page.

<figure><img src="/files/FAI4bw7pXSRxzOj2snj5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

It stays locked until you've played at least one life. Once unlocked, you'll have access to your competency graph, growth journey, SWOT analysis, personal report, and the Resource Hub.

See the dedicated **My ChangeMaker Space** section of this guide for a full walkthrough.
