### **What is this dashboard?**

The University Department Admin Dashboard is your home base for running your university department on the platform. It brings everything together in one place: your assignments and lessons, your students and professors, your license, your reports, and your settings.

As a University Department Admin, you can handle the everyday bits (like adding a new student or setting up an assignment) and the bigger-picture things (like planning your license or keeping an eye on how your department is doing) all from here, without having to jump between different systems.

#### **What can you do here?**

As a University Department Admin, your dashboard gives you everything you need to run things smoothly. Here's what each area helps you do:

* **Home** — your starting point, with a quick overview, shortcuts, and what's happened recently
* **Live a Life** — start interactive learning experiences and activities for your students
* **Create New Assignment** — set up a new assignment and decide how it's organised
* **Manage Classes** — look over, update, and keep your classes tidy
* **My Journey** — see progress and reflections over time
* **Students** — add students, bring in lists, turn accounts on or off, and keep their details up to date
* **Professors** — add professors, manage their details, and set what they're allowed to do
* **Department Data** — see reports and information about your whole department
* **World Data & SDG** — explore the bigger picture, including insights tied to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals
* **Account Settings** — update your profile, change your password, and manage roles and preferences
* **License Management** — check your plan, see how it's being used, and review past purchases
* **User Guides** — step-by-step help right inside the platform
* **Feedback** — tell us about a problem or share an idea to make things better
* **Device List** *(if turned on)* — see the devices connected to your account

A quick note: the exact names or order of these menu items might look a little different depending on your department's setup, but everything a University Department Admin needs is covered here.

This dashboard is for managing your own department, not for running the whole platform behind the scenes.

So there are a few things you won't see here, such as:

* Managing users across many different departments or institutions at once
* Editing the core settings that affect everyone on the platform
* System-wide controls reserved for the platform's top-level admin

If something like that needs doing, it's handled by your organisation's platform admin in their own separate area, so it's not something you'll need to worry about.

#### **Your first-day checklist**

Once you've logged in as University Department Admin for the first time, here's a simple list to work through:

* Check that your role and department details look right
* Glance over the menu on the side and make sure the sections you expect are there
* Add or import your professors
* Add or import your students
* Set up your first few assignments
* Try out the assignment setup to make sure it works as expected
* Check your license status and see how much room you have
* Open Account Settings and double-check your security and profile details
